Accounting Manager (Los Angeles, CA, United States)


American International Industries is the manufacturer and distributor of beauty and grooming products that are sold in retail stores and professional beauty supply stores throughout the world. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and professional Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities include:
• Preparation of Financial Statements
• Performing account analysis and reconciliation including bank statements and inter-company general ledger accounts
• Performing month-end closings
• Tracking fixed assets
• Preparing the trial balance
• Reviewing general ledger accounts
• Preparation and correction of journal entries
• Reconciliation of payroll sub-ledger to the general ledger
• Preparation of payroll and other managers’ reporting
• Reviewing payroll tax for completeness and accuracy
• Printing month-end reports
• Full-charge bookkeeper for all properties owned by Z & z real estate Holding and Ardell
• Perform other duties as requested by the President/Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice-President

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
• Accounting Manager experience in manufacturing preferred
• Must have Payroll experience
• 5 - 7+ years of accounting/financial/analytical experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills. Minimum of 5+ years of managing staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and decision-making abilities.
• Experience initiating and leading projects.
• Strong ability to work well in teams and develop strong rapport with senior and executive management.
• Ability to thrive under tight deadline and high pressure situations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a computer system/financial application.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who has a demonstrated track record for building processes.
• Ability to complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting tight deadlines.
• Must have excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
• Must have hands-on computer skills and ability to operate a 10-key adding machine by touch.
• Experience with Excel, Word and Email applications a must.

Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• CPA and/or Public Accounting experience preferred
